Hey folks, let's dive right into the latest from the Union’s Congress, where new Representatives took their seats on the assigned date. The President invited them to affirm their commitment by signing the Constitutional Act.

After Mr. Jan Łuszczewski, summoned by Speaker Stanisław Małachowski, read out the joining act to the Confederation, the Speaker's oath and the pledge of unity, Speaker Małachowski sparked off the session with these words:

"The splendor and authority of any leader are always daunting, especially at the 'Polish Throne' which rallies us Poles to unite our strength for the redemption of our homeland... Under the benevolent rule of Mister President, it shines brightly showing an accessible king, solely focused on the common good of the country. May our sincere hearts fashion an understanding of your intent and express due gratitude for generously allowing us to add partners to your endeavor... While other nations spill their own blood in conflict or resist greedy violence, at this time, the Union enjoys the sweetness of peace under the President’s rule; shaking off the yoke of bondage without bloodshed, we toil unitedly for our honorable safety. The effects of this union, which your Excellency has beckoned us to endorse, have already taught the country much and are evident not just among us Poles but to all of Europe. With a rallying cry of 'King with the nation, and the nation with the king', initiated by you, Mister President, we have pledged every effort to restore the grandeur to the people whose fate rests in your hands."

"I am elated to welcome new colleagues infused with the spirit of zeal for the salvation of our homeland, together with whom we shall become more capable servants of our country. We have opened paths of engagement for our nation, continue and enhance them; we have committed to the union, reap its benefits; we have established an army, in time, you shall helm its direction. Any hardships we might encounter in our legislation, let them be lessons for you, for they shall serve as warnings to prevent similar faults. I am honored to have been called to serve our homeland, and I swear before God that, as always, my sole aim has been the common good, and henceforth, I shall faithfully execute your commands, colleagues. May I be able to present the book of laws upon completion of our work as a guarantee of our nation's prosperity just as I receive your resolution today."

Courted by the noble Houses of Congress to perform my duties, I take on the responsibility and must report that certain circumstances demand the decision of spectators separated from the Legislative Chamber.

Secretary of the Interior for Poland-Ukraine, Mr. Michał Mniszech, having expressed that the matter of Borderlands be decided witout spectators, invited the spectators to a recess.

This recess endured until 9 in the evening, and before the session was adjourned until 10 the next morning—here's hoping for more progress in tomorrow’s meeting!
